About Me
Hello, I'm Terence Chong
I'm a ai engineer & keyboard enthusiast based in Singapore. Photography is more than just a hobby for me—it's a way of seeing and experiencing the world. Through my lens, I seek to capture the extraordinary in the ordinary, the fleeting moments that make life beautiful.
My journey with photography began over a decade ago with a simple point-and-shoot camera and an insatiable curiosity about light, composition, and storytelling. Since then, I've explored various genres—from landscape and street photography to portraiture and documentary work.
My Approach
I believe that great photography comes from being present and patient. Whether I'm waiting for the perfect light on a mountain peak or capturing candid moments on city streets, I approach each scene with intention and respect. My goal is to create images that not only look beautiful but also evoke emotion and tell compelling stories.
Equipment
While I appreciate good gear, I believe the photographer matters more than the camera. That said, I primarily shoot with:
- Canon EOS R5
- 24-70mm f/2.8 lens for versatility
- 70-200mm f/4 for landscapes and wildlife
- 35mm f/1.8 for street photography
Philosophy
Photography teaches us to slow down and observe. In our fast-paced world, taking the time to really see—to notice the quality of light, the subtle expressions, the patterns and textures around us—is a form of mindfulness. This blog is my way of sharing not just photographs, but the experiences and perspectives that shape them.
